What is the difference between a group tour and a private trip?

Group tours run on fixed departure dates. You join other travellers (typically 2–12 people), share a guide and porters, and benefit from a lower price per person. They are great for solo travellers who want company on the trail.

Private trips are just for you and your travel companions. You choose your start date, the pace can be adjusted to your group, and small changes to the itinerary are usually possible. The price per person is higher for small groups but decreases as your group grows.
